The AI Settings page in Torii allows you to control which AI-powered features are active in your environment. Each feature can be enabled or disabled independently, giving you flexibility over how AI is used across your organization.
Accessing AI Settings
To access AI Settings:
- Go to Settings in the left-hand menu.
- Click on AI Settings.
Available AI Features
From this screen you can enable or disable the features below. Each feature includes a toggle switch to turn it on or off at any time.
Not every feature appears for every organization - some depend on your plan or on the Torii modules you have enabled. Availability is noted per feature.
Features powered by your OpenAI API key
These features use your organization's OpenAI API key when one is configured (see Providing Your Own OpenAI API Key below).

Use AI-powered actions to analyze and enrich data.

MCP Server
The MCP server can be enabled or disabled. When disabled, end-users can not connect or use it. The MCP Server itself does not use any AI API Keys and is only exposing tools to MCP clients (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and others).

Providing Your Own OpenAI API Key
Torii allows you to provide your own OpenAI API key for enhanced flexibility and performance.
How to provide your API key
- In AI Settings, click Configure API key.
- Paste your OpenAI API key into the provided field.
How to obtain your OpenAI API key
- Log in at https://platform.openai.com/api-keys
- Click Create new secret key. Choose Service account, give your key a name, and optionally select a project.
- Copy the key and paste it into Torii.
Torii stores it securely and it cannot be accessed by any user.
What features use your custom OpenAI key
When configured, your API key is used for:
- AI (GPT) Action
- Auto-name workflows
- AI generated filters
- AI generated formula
- Executive Renewals Summary
- Custom app details
- The AI-generated summaries on the AI dashboards
- Data Agents - this feature requires your own key and will not run without one
- Contract magic auto-fill - only for contract custom fields that are parsed by AI, which require your own key. The built-in contract fields (dates, amount, supplier, and so on) always use Torii’s key.
If no key is configured, all of the above (except Data Agents and AI-parsed contract custom fields) fall back to Torii's shared key.
Your key is not used for Eko.
Benefits of using your own key
- Higher rate limits: avoid rate limitations from Torii's shared key.
- Search the internet option: enables internet-based queries in AI (GPT) Actions for more up-to-date responses.
- Cost transparency: AI usage on your key is billed directly by OpenAI to your organization.
