Overview

Torii integrates with Hoppscotch and syncs:

User Fields License Types
Name, email, role (Admin / User), last active date, status Hoppscotch
  • This integration supports self-hosted Hoppscotch instances only (Community Edition and Enterprise Edition). Hoppscotch Cloud does not offer an admin API and is not supported.
  • On Enterprise Edition, deactivated users are shown in Torii as deleted. They still hold a seat in Hoppscotch.
  • You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.

Requirements

Accounts & Permissions

  • A self-hosted Hoppscotch instance (Community or Enterprise Edition) that Torii can reach over the network.
  • Admin access to the instance. Only instance admins can create Infra Tokens.

Required keys

To connect this integration, we require the following:

  • Backend URL - the URL of your Hoppscotch backend, without /v1 and without a trailing slash. For example, http://host:3170, or https://host/backend if your instance is accessed through a subpath.
  • Infra Token - a token created in the Hoppscotch Admin Dashboard. The token applies to the whole instance and has no scopes, so a single Infra Token is all Torii needs.

How to Generate the Required Values

Step 1: Generate an Infra Token

  1. Log in to your self-hosted Hoppscotch instance with your admin credentials.
  2. In the Admin Dashboard, go to Settings > Infra Tokens.
  3. Click Generate new token.
  4. Enter a Label for the token (for example, Torii) and select an Expiration. The options are 7 days, 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, or No expiration.
  5. Click Generate Token, then copy the token with the copy button.
  6. Confirm creation, then copy the token.

Important
The Infra Token is displayed only once. Copy it and store it securely. If you choose an expiry date, you will need to generate a new token and reconnect the integration in Torii when it expires. To avoid this, select No expiration.

Step 2: Find your Backend URL

  1. Use the address of your Hoppscotch backend, for example http://host:3170.
  2. If your instance is accessed through a subpath, include it, for example https://host/backend.
  3. Do not add /v1 and do not end the URL with a slash.

How to Connect the Integration

  1. Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
  2. Search for Hoppscotch and click Connect.
  3. Enter the Account Name, Backend URL and Infra Token.
  4. Click Connect.

Actions

  • Invite user - sends a Hoppscotch invitation to the given email address.
  • Remove user - removes a user from the instance. Admins cannot be deleted; change the user's role to User first.
  • Update user - sets a user's role to Admin or User.

Q&A

Q: What should I enter in the "Account Name" field?

A: The Account Name field lets you connect multiple Hoppscotch accounts to Torii. The value can be anything you choose. It is only used to distinguish between your connected accounts. Make sure to use a unique Account Name for each account: connecting a different account with an Account Name that is already in use will overwrite the existing account's data, so choosing distinct names is your responsibility.
