Overview
Torii integrates with Tabnine and syncs:
| User Fields | License Types |
|---|---|
| Users, Roles, Status | Tabnine |
- You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.
Requirements
To connect this integration, we require the following:
Accounts & Permissions
- A Tabnine Enterprise plan (SaaS or private installation). The Tabnine API is available on Enterprise plans.
- A Tabnine Admin account. A token can never do more than the user who created it, so create the token as a Tabnine Admin.
Scopes
Grant the token only the permissions below. Under Token access >> API access:
- Organization (Read) - for retrieving organization information and the list of teams.
- Users and teams (Read) - for retrieving user and team details.
To use Torii actions, also grant:
- User management (Read + write) - for updating a user's role and deactivating a user.
- Invitations (Read + write) - for inviting users.
Required keys
- Personal Access Token
- (Optional) Tabnine URL (private installations only), for example https://tabnine.yourcompany.com
How to Generate the Required Values
Step 1: Generate a Personal Access Token
- Sign in to Tabnine as an Admin.
- In the Admin Console, go to Settings on the lefthand-side menu and select Access Tokens.
- Click Generate Token.
- Type in the name or purpose of the token, then select an expiration date option from the dropdown menu.
- Under Token access, choose API access and enable Organization and Users and teams, each with Read.
- If you want to use Torii actions, also enable User management and Invitations, each with Read + write.
- Copy the token value and store it securely. Then press Close.
Important
Tabnine will not display the token again after you close the dialog. If you lose it, revoke it and generate a new one.
Step 2: Find your Tabnine URL (private installations only)
- If you use a private Tabnine installation, use your installation's URL. Include https and do not add a trailing slash or path.
- Otherwise, leave this field empty.
How to Connect the Integration
- Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
- Search for Tabnine and click Connect.
- Enter the Personal Access Token. If you use a private installation, also enter the Tabnine URL (private installations only).
- Click Connect.
Actions
The following actions are supported:
- Invite user - invites a user to a Tabnine team with a selected role. Requires the Invitations (Read + write) scope.
- Update user role - changes the role of an existing user. Requires the User management (Read + write) scope.
- Deactivate user - deactivates an existing user. Requires the User management (Read + write) scope.
Available roles are Member, Team Lead, Manager and Admin. A token can never do more than the user who created it.
