Overview

Torii integrates with Adyen and syncs:

  • Company-level users, including their name, email, roles and status. Users that are deactivated in Adyen appear as deleted in Torii.
  • You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.

Requirements

To connect this integration, we require the following:

Accounts & Permissions

  • An Adyen Customer Area user with the Manage API credentials role or the Merchant admin role, to create the API credential.
  • An API credential created on your Company account, with the Management API - Users read and write role. Adyen has no read-only users role, and Torii needs write access to run actions.

Required keys

  • API key - the API key generated for the API credential.
  • Company account ID - your company account name, which appears in the API credential username after "@Company." (the username format is ws_123456@Company.[YourCompanyAccount]).

How to Generate the Required Values

Follow these steps to generate the required values:

Step 1: Create an API credential

  1. Log in to your Adyen Customer Area and select your Company account.
  2. Go to Developers > API credentials.
  3. Select the Payments or Platforms tab, depending on your integration type.
  4. Select Create new credential.
  5. In the Create API credential dialog, under Credential type, select Web service user.
  6. Optional. In the Description field, describe the purpose of the credential.
  7. Select Create credential.
  8. On the Configure API credentials page, save the generated Username, for example ws_123456@Company.[YourCompanyAccount]. The part after "@Company." is your Company account ID.

Step 2: Generate the API key

  1. Under Server settings > Authentication, select the API key tab.
  2. Select Generate API key.
  3. Select the copy icon and store your API key securely.

Important
You cannot copy the API key again after you leave the page.

Step 3: Grant the required role

  1. On the Configure API credential page, under Permissions, expand the categories to see the lists of available roles. You can also use the search bar to find specific roles.
  2. Select the checkbox of the Management API - Users read and write role.
  3. Select Save changes.

Step 4: Allowed IP range (only if you use one)

  • If you added an allowed IP range to this API credential, only requests originating from that range are permitted. In that case, add Torii's IP addresses under Server settings > Allowed IP range and select Save changes. Contact Torii Support for the IP addresses.

To use an existing API credential instead, select its username under Developers > API credentials, generate an API key and enable the role as described above.

How to Connect the Integration

  1. Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
  2. Search for Adyen and click Connect.
  3. Enter the API key and the Company account ID.
  4. Click Connect.

Actions

  • Create User - creates a new user in your Adyen company account, using the email as the username.
  • Update User - updates the first name and last name of an existing Adyen user. Both fields are required.
  • Deactivate Adyen user - Adyen has no API to delete users, so this action deactivates the user. Deactivated users appear as deleted in Torii.

Q&A

Q: What should I enter in the "Account Name" field?

A: The Account Name field lets you connect multiple Adyen accounts to Torii. The value can be anything you choose. It is only used to distinguish between your connected accounts. Make sure to use a unique Account Name for each account: connecting a different account with an Account Name that is already in use will overwrite the existing account's data, so choosing distinct names is your responsibility.
