Overview

Torii integrates with RealVNC Connect and syncs:

• Team members, including invited members who have not yet joined
• Member roles
• Member status
• You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.

Requirements

To connect this integration, we require the following:

Accounts & Permissions

• A RealVNC Connect subscription with API Access enabled.
• A RealVNC Connect team Manager, Admin or Owner, who can create access keys in the RealVNC Connect Portal.
• An access key with the LIST_TEAM_MEMBERS permission (to read and list the members of your team). An access key belongs to a single team, so create it in the team you want to connect.
• To use the Invite user and Remove user actions, the access key also needs the ADD_TEAM_MEMBER and REMOVE_TEAM_MEMBER permissions.

How to Generate the Required Values

Step 1: Create an access key

1. Sign in to the RealVNC Connect Portal as a team Manager, Admin or Owner.
2. In the Organization section, open the API Access Keys page.
3. Click Create Access Key.
4. In the popup, select the permissions for the key: LIST_TEAM_MEMBERS, and, if you want to use the Invite user and Remove user actions, ADD_TEAM_MEMBER and REMOVE_TEAM_MEMBER.
5. Enter a label for the key (for example, Torii), and optionally set an expiry date.
6. Confirm to create the key. The portal displays the Access Key ID and the Access Key.

How to Connect the Integration

1. Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
2. Search for RealVNC Connect and click Connect.
3. Enter an Account Name, the Access Key ID and the Access Key.
4. Click Connect.

Actions

• Invite user - sends an invitation to join your RealVNC Connect team, with the User, Manager or Technician role. Requires the ADD_TEAM_MEMBER permission on the access key.
• Remove user - removes a member from your RealVNC Connect team. Members with the Admin or Owner role cannot be removed. Requires the REMOVE_TEAM_MEMBER permission on the access key.

Q&A

Q: What should I enter in the "Account Name" field?

A: The Account Name field lets you connect multiple RealVNC Connect accounts to Torii. The value can be anything you choose. It is only used to distinguish between your connected accounts. Make sure to use a unique Account Name for each account: connecting a different account with an Account Name that is already in use will overwrite the existing account's data, so choosing distinct names is your responsibility.
