Overview

Torii integrates with Red Hat and syncs the users (Red Hat logins) of your Red Hat organization from the Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Console.

  • Syncs enabled and disabled users, their names, emails and whether they are an Organization Administrator.
  • Integration Capabilities

Requirements

Accounts & Permissions

  • A Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Console service account.
  • An Organization Administrator or User Access administrator, to add the service account to a User Access group.

Required keys

  • Service account Client ID
  • Service account Client Secret

How to Generate the Required Values

Step 1: Create a service account

  1. Log in to the Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Console at https://console.redhat.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and go to Service Accounts.
  3. Click Create service account, give it a name (for example, Torii) and a description, and click Create.
  4. Copy the Client ID and Client secret. The secret is shown only once.

Step 2: Grant the minimum permission

Torii only needs the User Access principal viewer role. Service accounts do not get access from the Default access group, so this step is required.

  1. Go to Settings > User Access > Groups (an Organization Administrator or User Access administrator is required).
  2. Create a group (for example, Torii user sync), or open an existing one.
  3. Under Roles, add the User Access principal viewer role.
  4. Under Service accounts, add the service account you created in Step 1.

How to Connect the Integration

  1. Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
  2. Search for Red Hat and click Connect.
  3. Enter the service account Client ID and Client Secret.
  4. Click Connect.

Actions

This integration does not support workflow actions. Red Hat users are managed in the Red Hat Customer Portal.
