Overview
Torii integrates with Terraform Cloud (HCP Terraform) and syncs:

Requirements
Accounts & Permissions
- A Terraform Cloud (HCP Terraform) organization. The API is available on every plan, including Free.
- Only organization owners can generate an Organization API token.
- On the Free plan, every member of the organization is an owner, so Torii shows every user with the Owner role.
Required keys
To connect this integration, we require the following:
- Organization API token
- Organization name
- Host (Terraform Enterprise only) (Optional). Leave the default app.terraform.io for Terraform Cloud.
How to Generate the Required Values
Step 1: Generate an Organization API token
- Sign in to Terraform Cloud as an organization owner.
- Go to Organization settings >> API tokens.
- Open the Organization tokens tab and click Generate an organization token.
- Choose an expiration date. The default is 30 days.
- Copy the token.
Important
Terraform Cloud displays the token only once, when you create it. Each organization can have only one valid Organization token at a time. Tokens have an expiration date that cannot be changed after creation, so generate a new token and update it in Torii before it expires.
Alternative: use an owners team token
- Go to Organization settings >> API tokens >> Team Tokens.
- Generate a token for the owners team.
This works, but an owners team token has all the permissions of an organization owner, which is more than Torii needs.
Step 2: Find the organization name
- Use the name of your organization as it appears in Terraform Cloud.
How to Connect the Integration
- Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
- Search for Terraform Cloud and click Connect.
- Enter the Organization API token and the organization name. If you use Terraform Enterprise, also enter your host.
- Click Connect.
Actions
- Invite User - sends an email invitation to join your organization and adds the user to the team you select. The user stays in the Invited status until they accept the invitation. Invite User needs a plan with team management (Essentials or higher). On the Free plan, the team list is empty, so you can't run this action.
- Remove User - removes the user from your organization. Terraform Cloud does not allow you to remove yourself from an organization you own.
