Overview

Torii integrates with UiPath and syncs:

User Fields License Types
Name, Email, Username, Status, Role (UiPath groups), Creation Date, Last Visit Time UiPath
  • You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.

Requirements

To connect this integration, we require the following:

Accounts & Permissions

  • A UiPath Automation Cloud organization.
  • An organization administrator, who can create an External Application under Admin >> External Applications.

Scopes

Add the following Application scopes under the Platform Management (Identity API) resource:

  • PM.User.Read - for retrieving the users of your organization.
  • PM.Group.Read - for retrieving groups, which Torii shows as user roles.
  • PM.User.Write - only required for performing actions within Torii (create, deactivate, or delete users). Not needed if you only sync data.

Required keys

  • Organization Name - the name in your UiPath URL, after cloud.uipath.com/.
  • Organization ID - your organization ID (GUID).
  • App ID - the Application ID of the External Application.
  • App Secret - the secret of the External Application.
  • Base URL (Optional) - only if your organization is not hosted on https://cloud.uipath.com, for example https://govcloud.uipath.us or a dedicated host.

How to Generate the Required Values

Step 1: Create an External Application

  1. Sign in to UiPath Automation Cloud as an organization administrator.
  2. Go to Admin >> External Applications and click Add Application.
  3. Enter an Application Name (for example, Torii).
  4. For Application Type, select Confidential application.
  5. Under Resources, click Add Scopes.
  6. From the Resource list, select the Platform Management (Identity) API.
  7. Open the Application Scope(s) tab and select PM.User.Read and PM.Group.Read. To use Torii actions, also select PM.User.Write.
  8. Click Save, and then click Add.

Important
The App Secret is shown only once, right after you add the application. Copy it and store it securely. If you lose it, generate a new secret from the application's edit view; this invalidates the previous one.

Step 2: Copy the App ID and App Secret

  1. Copy the App Secret from the confirmation message.
  2. Copy the App ID from the External Applications page.

Step 3: Find your Organization Name and Organization ID

  1. Organization Name is the part of your UiPath URL right after cloud.uipath.com/ (for example, in cloud.uipath.com/acme the name is acme).
  2. Organization ID is shown in your organization settings under Admin. Copy the ID (a GUID).

How to Connect the Integration

  1. Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
  2. Search for UiPath and click Connect.
  3. Enter the Organization Name, Organization ID, App ID, and App Secret (and the Base URL, if needed).
  4. Click Connect.

Actions

  • Create UiPath user - creates a user in your UiPath organization with their email and name. The user is not added to any group, and appears in Torii after the next daily sync.
  • Set UiPath user status - sets a user to Active or Inactive.
  • Delete UiPath user - deletes a user from your UiPath organization. For users linked to a directory identity provider, the first delete may only unlink the user from the directory.

These actions require the PM.User.Write scope. Updating and deleting users requires that the user was already synced to Torii.
