Overview

Torii integrates with Travis CI and syncs:

  • Users (the members of one Travis CI organization), with their organization role
  • Licenses
  • You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.

Requirements

To connect this integration, we require the following:

Accounts & Permissions

  • A Travis CI user who is a member of the organization you want to sync. Organization admin rights are not required. A dedicated member account for Torii keeps the token separate from any one person.
  • The organization must be on travis-ci.com and connected through GitHub.

Required keys

  • API Token - the Travis CI API token of that member.
  • Organization Login - the organization's login, as shown in its Travis CI URL (for example my-company in https://app.travis-ci.com/github/my-company).

How to Generate the Required Values

Step 1: Copy the API token

  1. Sign in to app.travis-ci.com as the member Torii will use.
  2. Click your profile picture at the top right and open Settings.
  3. In the API authentication section, click Copy token.

You can also get the token from the Travis CI command line client: run travis login --com, then travis token --com.

Step 2: Find the Organization Login

  1. Open the organization in Travis CI.
  2. Copy the last part of the address. For https://app.travis-ci.com/github/my-company the login is my-company.

How to Connect the Integration

  1. Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
  2. Search for Travis CI and click Connect.
  3. Enter the API Token and the Organization Login.
  4. Click Connect.

Q&A

Q: Why don't Travis CI users show an email?

A: Travis CI does not share other members' email addresses through its API. Torii syncs each member's Travis CI ID, login, name and role.

Q: How are licenses counted?

A: Travis CI usage-based plans charge for users who trigger builds. Members who have build permission count as using a license. Members whose build permission was turned off are shown without a license, with the status No build permission.

Q: I have more than one Travis CI organization. What should I do?

A: Each connection syncs one organization. Connect Travis CI once for each organization.
