Overview
Torii integrates with Hootsuite and syncs:

Requirements
To connect this integration, we require the following:
Accounts & Permissions
- A Hootsuite account that belongs to the organization you want to connect.
- The member who connects the integration must be an organization admin, or have the "Manage members" permission, in that Hootsuite organization.
- A Hootsuite developer account. It is free, and you can create it from your Hootsuite dashboard in a few seconds (see Step 1).
Scopes
- offline - keeps Torii connected to Hootsuite, so you do not need to sign in again every time Torii syncs.
Required keys
- Client ID of your Hootsuite app
- Client Secret of your Hootsuite app
- Organization ID of your Hootsuite organization
How to Generate the Required Values
Follow these steps to generate the required values:
Step 1: Create a Hootsuite developer app
- Sign in to your Hootsuite dashboard.
- Go to App directory >> Developer apps. If you do not have a developer account yet, create one when prompted. It is free and ready right away. Then click Create an app. You can also manage apps in the Hootsuite developer portal.
- Enter a name for the app, for example Torii, and a short description.
- Add the following as a redirect URI of the app: https://api.toriihq.com/api/auth/hootsuite/callback. It must match exactly, with no trailing slash.
- Open the app from My apps, go to its Security section, and copy the Client ID and Client Secret from the REST API tab.
Important
If you do not see the Client ID and Client Secret in the REST API tab, contact Hootsuite and ask them to enable REST API access for your account.
Step 2: Find your Organization ID
- In Hootsuite, go to Manage accounts and teams.
- Select Teams for your organization.
- Copy the organization ID from the id value in your browser's address bar. For example, in https://hootsuite.com/dashboard#/organizations/teams/?id=123456 the organization ID is 123456. You can also find it in the organization's settings page, where the address bar ends with /organization/123456.
- The organization must be one that the connecting member belongs to, with admin or "Manage members" permission.

How to Connect the Integration
- Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
- Search for Hootsuite and click Connect.
- Enter the Client ID, Client Secret and Organization ID.
- Click Connect and sign in to Hootsuite to approve access when prompted.
Actions
- Add user - adds a member to a Hootsuite organization. You select the organization in the action. The member's role in the organization is not set by this action.
- Remove user - removes a member from the connected Hootsuite organization. It does not delete the person's Hootsuite account.
Updating a user is not supported.
