Overview
Torii integrates with Sharetru and syncs:
| User Fields | License Types |
|---|---|
| Status | Sharetru |
| Role (from Sharetru role groups) | |
| Last Visit Time (last login) |
- You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.
Requirements
To connect this integration, we require the following:
Accounts & Permissions
- A Sharetru plan with API access (Core or Complete plans, including Single Tenant, and some legacy plans). See Sharetru API: Call Limits and Plan Availability.
- A Sharetru administrator who can activate the API service and manage users and role groups.
- A dedicated Sharetru user for Torii, who is a member of the Site Administrators role group. Torii needs to list all users, read site information and read groups.
Required keys
- Sharetru Hostname - your Sharetru site address, for example yourcompany.sharetru.com, or your custom domain (without https://).
- API Key - generated from the profile of the dedicated Torii user.
How to Generate the Required Values
Follow these steps to generate the required values:
Step 1: Create a dedicated user for Torii
- Log in to your Sharetru site as an administrator.
- Create a new user for Torii (for example, "Torii Integration").
- Click Groups in the left-most column of icons, then click Site Administrators under Role Groups.
- Click Add Members, select the Torii user, and click Add Members again.
Step 2: Activate the API service
- Log in to your Sharetru site as a Site Administrator.
- Go to Settings and select Service Activation.
- Turn on the API toggle.
- Click Save.
Step 3: Enable API access for the Torii user
- Click Groups in the left-most column of icons, then click API Users under Role Groups.
- Click Add Members, select the Torii user, and click Add Members again.
- If the change does not take effect, have the Torii user log in and log out once.
Step 4: Generate the API key
- Log in to your Sharetru site as the Torii user.
- Go to Profile, located in the upper right corner.
- Click Generate New API key. A file named api_token.txt is downloaded, containing your API key.
- Copy the API key from the file.
Important
The API key can only be downloaded once. Each click on Generate New API key creates a new key, so copy it before closing the file.
Step 5: Make sure the API is not blocked by Network Rules
- If your Sharetru site uses Network Rules to restrict access, make sure they allow the API protocol so that Torii can reach your site.
How to Connect the Integration
- Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
- Search for Sharetru and click Connect.
- Enter your Sharetru Hostname (for example, yourcompany.sharetru.com or your custom domain, without https://) and your API Key.
- Click Connect.
Actions
- Create Sharetru user - creates a new user in Sharetru. The email address is used as the Sharetru username, so it must be 50 characters or fewer.
- Suspend Sharetru user - suspends a user in Sharetru. Suspended users remain in Sharetru and can be reactivated there. This action is also used when removing a user from Sharetru.
