Overview
Torii integrates with iconik and syncs:
| User Fields | License Types |
|---|---|
| Status, Role (Admin / User), Last Visit Time | Power User, Standard User, Browse User, Browse API Only User |
- You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.
Requirements
To connect this integration, we require the following:
Accounts & Permissions
- An iconik administrator who can create application tokens (Admin > Settings > Application Tokens).
- A dedicated iconik user for the integration, whose role includes can_read_users. This is the minimum Torii needs to sync users and licenses.
- (Optional) To use Torii actions, add the matching permissions to that user's role: can_create_users for Create User, can_write_users for Update User, and can_delete_users for Delete User.
Required keys
- Application ID
- Auth Token
- iconik domain (optional)
How to Generate the Required Values
Follow these steps to generate the required values:
Step 1: Prepare the user the integration runs as
- In iconik, create a dedicated user for the Torii integration, or choose an existing dedicated one.
- Give that user only a role that includes can_read_users. Add can_create_users, can_write_users or can_delete_users only if you plan to use the matching Torii actions.
Using an administrator user also works, but it gives Torii more access than it needs.
Step 2: Create the application
- In iconik, go to Admin >> Settings >> Application Tokens.
- Click New application, select Service account, and click Next.
- Enter a name (for example, Torii) and select the user from Step 1 as the user the API runs as.
- Create the application and copy the Application ID.
Step 3: Create the token
- In the applications list, find the new application and click Create new in the Token column.
- Click the copy icon next to the token. iconik copies the token to your clipboard without showing it.
Important
You can copy the token only once. Paste it somewhere safe before you close the window. If you lose it, create a new token.
Step 4: Find your iconik domain (optional)
- Look at the address bar when you are signed in to iconik.
- If the domain is not app.iconik.io (for example eu.iconik.io), copy it. Enter only the domain, without https://.
If you sign in at app.iconik.io, leave this field empty.
How to Connect the Integration
- Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
- Search for iconik and click Connect.
- Enter the Application ID and the Auth Token. If you use another iconik domain, enter it in iconik domain.
- Click Connect.
Actions
- Create User - creates a user in iconik with their email and a license type (Power User, Standard User or Browse User), and iconik emails the user an invite to set a password. First and last name are optional. Requires can_create_users.
- Update User - updates an existing iconik user's license type, first name or last name. Fields you leave empty are not changed. Requires can_write_users.
- Delete User - permanently deletes an existing iconik user. Requires can_delete_users.
