Overview
Torii integrates with Druva and syncs:
- Users
- Licenses
- You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.
Requirements
Accounts & Permissions
To connect this integration, we require the following:
- A Druva Cloud Administrator account, to create API credentials in the Druva Cloud Platform Console.
- For syncing users and licenses only: API credentials restricted to the predefined Cloud Admin (Read only) role.
- To perform actions from Torii (Create User, Update User, Preserve User): API credentials restricted to the predefined Cloud Admin role, or to a custom role that includes the Create and Import Users, Manage Users, View Profiles, and View Storages rights.
Required keys
- Client ID
- Secret Key
How to Generate the Required Values
Step 1: Create API credentials
- Log in to the Druva Cloud Platform Console as a Druva Cloud Administrator.
- Go to the Global Navigation menu >> Integration Center.
- Choose API Credentials in the left panel.
- Click New Credentials.
- Enter a name for the credentials (for example, Torii).
Step 2: Restrict the credentials to the role Torii needs
- In the New Credentials window, apply the authorization restriction: select Product Administrator and choose the inSync role.
- To sync users and licenses only, select the predefined Cloud Admin (Read only) role.
- To also use Torii actions, select the predefined Cloud Admin role, or create a custom role in Druva with Create and Import Users, Manage Users, View Profiles, and View Storages.
- Optionally, apply network restrictions as described in Druva's documentation.
- Click Save. The Credential Details window appears.
Step 3: Copy the Client ID and Secret Key
- In the Credential Details window, click the copy icon to copy the Client ID and the Secret Key.
Important
Copy the Secret Key now. If you do not copy it when the credentials are created, you must generate a new Secret Key from the credential's More options menu, which revokes the old one.
For more details, see Druva's article: Create and Manage API Credentials.
How to Connect the Integration
- Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
- Search for Druva and click Connect.
- Enter the Client ID and the Secret Key.
- Click Connect.
Actions
The following actions are available in beta:
- Create User - creates a user in Druva. You choose the user's backup profile and storage.
- Update User - updates an existing Druva user, such as the name, profile, or storage.
- Preserve User - preserves the user in Druva. This does not delete the user or their backups.
Q&A
Q: How do preserved users appear in Torii?
A: Users that are preserved in Druva appear in Torii as deleted, and hold the Druva inSync Preserved license.
Q: Does the Preserve User action delete the user's backups?
A: No. Preserving a user stops their backups and keeps the existing backup data within its retention policy. The user can be reactivated in Druva. Druva deletes a preserved user later, according to the Auto-Delete Preserved User setting of the user's profile.
Q: Is Druva GovCloud supported?
A: No. This integration supports the commercial Druva cloud only.
