Overview
Torii integrates with WorkRamp and syncs:
- Users, including their role (Admin or User) and status (active or deactivated).
- Licenses.
- You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.
Requirements
Accounts & Permissions
- A WorkRamp Employee Learning Cloud account with administrator access to generate an API key.
- API access enabled for your WorkRamp account. The WorkRamp API is private. If you don't have access, contact support@workramp.com to see if you are eligible and to request access.
- WorkRamp has a single API access level, and an API key can do anything the admin who owns it can do. We recommend creating a dedicated service-account admin user to own the key (see Step 1 below).
Required keys
To connect this integration, we require the following:
- API Key - generated in WorkRamp.
- Region - United States or Europe, depending on where your WorkRamp account is hosted.
How to Generate the Required Values
Follow these steps to generate the required values:
Step 1: Create a dedicated service-account admin user
- In WorkRamp, create a new admin user dedicated to the Torii integration (for example, a service account with a shared company mailbox).
- Use this user as the owner of the API key in the next step. The API key stops working if its owner is deactivated, so a dedicated user prevents the integration from breaking when an employee leaves the company.
Step 2: Generate an API key
- Sign in to WorkRamp (Employee Learning Cloud) as an admin.
- Go to Settings >> Integrations >> API.
- Click to generate a new API key.
- Choose the admin user from Step 1 as the key owner and add a description (for example, "Torii").
- Generate the key and copy it.
Important
The API key is shown only once. Copy it and store it securely before closing the window.
Step 3: Identify your region
Check the address you use to sign in to WorkRamp and select the matching Region in Torii:

How to Connect the Integration
- Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
- Search for WorkRamp and click Connect.
- Enter an Account Name, your API Key, and select your Region.
- Click Connect.
Actions
- Create WorkRamp user - creates a user with an email, first and last name, and a role (Admin or User).
- Update WorkRamp user role - changes a user's role to Admin or User.
- Deactivate WorkRamp user - deactivates the user in WorkRamp. The user is not permanently deleted and can be reactivated in WorkRamp.
Q&A
Q: What should I enter in the "Account Name" field?
A: The Account Name field lets you connect multiple WorkRamp accounts to Torii. The value can be anything you choose. It is only used to distinguish between your connected accounts. Make sure to use a unique Account Name for each account: connecting a different account with an Account Name that is already in use will overwrite the existing account's data, so choosing distinct names is your responsibility.
