Overview
Torii integrates with Pingdom and syncs:
- Pingdom login users (contacts of type user), including their name and email.
- The Owner role, for the user who owns the Pingdom organization. Other users sync without a role.
- Alert-only contacts that cannot log in to Pingdom are not synced.
- Invited users sync after they accept the invite. Pending invites are not synced.
- You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.
Requirements
Accounts & Permissions
- A Pingdom account where you can open My Pingdom and create an API token.
Required keys
To connect this integration, we require the following:
- API Token - a Pingdom API token with Read access. Read access is enough for syncing.
How to Generate the Required Values
Step 1: Create an API token
- Sign in to My Pingdom.
- Click the Settings (gear) icon in the left menu and select Pingdom API.
- Click Add API token.
- Enter a Name for the token (for example, Torii) and select Read access.
- Click Generate token.
- Copy the token.
Important
Copy the token and store it safely before leaving the page.
For more details, see the Pingdom API documentation and managing Pingdom users.
How to Connect the Integration
- Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
- Search for Pingdom and click Connect.
- Paste the token into the API Token field.
- Click Connect.
Q&A
Q: What should I enter in the "Account Name" field?
A: The Account Name field lets you connect multiple Pingdom accounts to Torii. The value can be anything you choose. It is only used to distinguish between your connected accounts. Make sure to use a unique Account Name for each account: connecting a different account with an Account Name that is already in use will overwrite the existing account's data, so choosing distinct names is your responsibility.
