Overview
Torii integrates with Vanta and syncs:
- Active Vanta users, including their email, display name and active state.
- A single Vanta license for each synced user.
- You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.
Requirements
Accounts & Permissions
- A Vanta account with permission to create applications in the Developer Console (Vanta admin).
- Any Vanta plan. API access is included in Essentials, Plus, Professional and Enterprise.
Required keys
To connect this integration, we require the following:
- Client ID of a Manage Vanta application.
- Client Secret of the same application.
- Vanta region (the API host your Vanta account uses).
How to Generate the Required Values
Step 1: Create a Manage Vanta application
- Sign in to Vanta and go to Settings >> Developer Console.
- Click Create.
- Choose Manage Vanta as the application type.
- Enter an application name (for example, Torii) and a description, and save.
Important
Vanta allows only one active token per application. If you use the same application in another tool, Vanta will revoke Torii's access. Create a dedicated application for Torii.
Step 2: Grant read-only access
- In the application, grant only the vanta-api.all:read scope. Torii only reads user data and does not need any other scope.
Step 3: Generate the Client Secret
- In the application, click Generate client secret.
- Copy the Client ID and the Client Secret.
Important
The Client Secret is shown only once. Copy it before you leave the page.

How to Connect the Integration
- Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
- Search for Vanta and click Connect.
- Enter the Account Name, Client ID and Client Secret, and select your Vanta region.
- Click Connect.
Q&A
Q: What should I enter in the "Account Name" field?
A: The Account Name field lets you connect multiple Vanta accounts to Torii. The value can be anything you choose. It is only used to distinguish between your connected accounts. Make sure to use a unique Account Name for each account: connecting a different account with an Account Name that is already in use will overwrite the existing account's data, so choosing distinct names is your responsibility.
