Overview
Torii integrates with Tray.io and syncs:
- Users, including their name, email, and organization role.
- You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.
Requirements
Accounts & Permissions
To connect this integration, we require the following:
- A Tray.io organization with Owner or Admin access, to create an API user.
- An org-level API user whose token has the Admin organization role. Tray.io's Users endpoint requires either an organization admin token or a master token.
Required keys
- API Token - the token generated for the org-level API user.
- Region - the Tray.io region your organization is hosted in (US, EU, or APAC).
How to Generate the Required Values
Step 1: Create an org-level API user
- In Tray.io, go to Account Settings >> Tokens.
- Click Create API user.
- Enter a name for the API user.
- Under Organization Role, select Admin. Only organization Owners or Admins can assign this role.
- Select a workspace and a workspace role (Contributor or Viewer), then click Next.
Step 2: Generate an API token
- On the token creation screen, enter a token name.
- Set the token expiration period.
- Generate the token.
Important
Copy the token now: Tray.io will not show it to you again. Once the token expires, it is automatically deleted and can no longer be retrieved.
Step 3: Identify your region
- Select the region where your Tray.io organization is hosted: US, EU, or APAC. If you are not sure, check with your Tray.io administrator.
How to Connect the Integration
- Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
- Search for Tray.io and click Connect.
- Enter your API Token and Region.
- Click Connect.
Q&A
Q: Why do all Tray.io users appear as "Active" in Torii?
A: Tray.io's API does not report a user's status, so every user returned by the API syncs as active. When a user is removed from your Tray.io organization, they stop appearing after the next sync.
Q: Will API or service accounts show up as users in Torii?
A: Yes. API and service accounts in your Tray.io organization are returned by the same endpoint as regular users, so they appear in Torii's synced user list.
