Humaans Integration

Overview

Torii integrates with Humaans and syncs:

  • Users, including their name, email, and employment status (active, new hire, or offboarded)
  • Licenses
  • Employee details: start date, termination date, teams, job title, department, and manager
  • You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.

Requirements

Accounts & Permissions

  • A Humaans account with the Admin role to create the API access token. (The Owner role also works, but grants more access than Torii needs.)
  • A token created by a User-role account will only see that person's own profile, not the full employee list. Do not use one for this integration.

Required keys

  • API Access Token: a Humaans API access token with the private:read scope.

How to Generate the Required Values

Step 1: Generate a Humaans API access token

  1. Sign in to Humaans as a user with the Admin role.
  2. Click your name in the sidebar, then select API access tokens.
  3. Click Generate new token.
  4. Enter a name for the token (for example, "Torii").
  5. Under scopes, select View public and private data (the private:read scope).
  6. Generate the token and copy it.

Important
Create the token with the minimum access Torii needs: sign in as a user with the Admin role (not a personal User-role account) unless you're already an Admin. A token created by a User role can only see that person's own profile, not the company's employee data.

How to Connect the Integration

  1. Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
  2. Search for Humaans and click Connect.
  3. Enter your Humaans API access token.
  4. Click Connect.

Update the User Lifecycle settings

To make sure you get user lifecycle information in Torii, define Humaans as your HR management system.

  1. Go to Settings >> Users & Employees and, under User lifecycle, click Manage sources.
  2. Under Human Resource Management Systems, select Humaans. If Humaans is your only source for user management, make sure the other sources are unselected.
  3. Click Preview changes, then Apply changes.

Additional Notes

  • Job title, department, and manager are pulled from each person's job role in Humaans. If a person has no job role set, these fields will be empty in Torii.
  • Only employees marked Offboarded in Humaans are marked as deleted in Torii. Employees on leave, new hires, and people with a future start date remain active.
  • This integration is being rolled out gradually. If you don't see Humaans on your Integrations page, contact your Torii representative to have it enabled for your organization.
