Overview
Torii integrates with Productboard and syncs:
- Workspace members, including their role and status.
- License types — Maker (paid), Viewer, and Contributor.
- You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.
Requirements
To connect this integration, we require the following:
Accounts & Permissions
- A Productboard workspace with Admin access. Members with the Maker, Viewer, or Contributor role do not see Integrations in Settings.
- A Productboard plan that includes Public API access. On lower plans the Add token button is unavailable.
Required keys
- API Token
How to Generate the Required Values
Step 1: Generate an API token
- Log in to Productboard as an Admin.
- Go to Settings and, under Operations, click Integrations.
- Under Public APIs, open Access Token.
- Click + Add token.
- Enter a name for the token, for example Torii. Each token is listed by name with its own Revoke option, so a dedicated name lets you revoke this token later without affecting your other tokens.
- Copy the token.
Important
The access token is displayed only once, at the moment it is created. Copy it and store it safely before leaving the page. If you lose it, you will need to add a new token.
How to Connect the Integration
- Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
- Search for Productboard and click Connect.
- Enter an Account Name.
- Paste your API Token.
- Click Connect.
Q&A
Q: What should I enter in the "Account Name" field?
A: The Account Name field lets you connect multiple Productboard accounts to Torii. The value can be anything you choose — it is only used to distinguish between your connected accounts. Make sure to use a unique Account Name for each account: connecting a different account with an Account Name that is already in use will overwrite the existing account's data, so choosing distinct names is your responsibility.
Q: Does a pending invitation still use a paid seat?
A: Yes. Productboard counts an unaccepted Maker invitation toward your Maker seat total. Torii includes these members in the paid Maker license and marks them as inactive, so you can see seats you are paying for that nobody is using yet.
