Overview

Torii integrates with Grip Security and syncs:

• Users discovered by Grip Security
• Applications discovered by Grip Security and the users connected to each one
• You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.

Requirements

Accounts & Permissions

• Access to your organization's Grip Security account
• Permission to generate an API key in the Grip Portal's Integration section

Required keys

• Client Prefix - the short tenant name Grip Security assigned your organization (for example, if your Grip Security address is demo.dep.grip.security, your Client Prefix is demo).
• API Key - the access token generated in the Grip Portal's Integration section.

How to Generate the Required Values

Step 1: Find your Client Prefix

1. Identify the short tenant name at the start of your Grip Security account address (for example, demo in demo.dep.grip.security).

Step 2: Generate an API Key

1. In the Grip Portal, go to the Integration section.
2. Generate a new API key.
3. Copy the key - you will need it to connect the integration in Torii.

How to Connect the Integration

1. Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
2. Search for Grip Security and click Connect.
3. Enter your Client Prefix and API Key.
4. Click Connect.

Q&A

Q: Does Torii mark users as removed based on Grip Security?

A: No. Every user Grip Security discovers is shown as active in Torii. Grip Security is a discovery service: the status it reports describes what other systems, such as your email or identity provider, say about a person - it is not Grip Security's own record of them. Torii does not offboard people or reclaim licenses on that basis, because the integration with that other system is the accurate source.

Q: Does Torii show every application discovered by Grip Security?

A: Grip Security's discovery service does not include certain sensitive applications in the list it provides to Torii. This means the applications shown in Torii may not represent every application in use - this is a limitation of Grip Security's own service, not something Torii can change.
