Overview
Torii integrates with Precoro and syncs users, licenses, and analyzes SaaS expenses:
| Default synced transaction types | Fields used for expense matching |
|---|---|
| Invoices | Supplier name |
| Expenses | Note, expense number or document number |
- Torii will automatically match transactions to the correct application, summarize expenses and provide insights.
- Torii syncs invoices and expenses once they are marked as Paid in Precoro. Documents still awaiting approval or payment, and documents that were denied or cancelled, are not synced.
- Torii syncs transaction data up to one year prior to first connection date.
- You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.
Requirements
To connect this integration, we require the following:
Accounts & Permissions
- A Precoro user account that can generate API keys.
- The API key inherits the permissions of the user who creates it. Precoro limits access by Location, Department and Project, so a key created by a user with limited access will sync only part of your data. Create the key with a user who has the broadest access.
- If you have multiple companies in Precoro, each one needs its own API key and its own connection in Torii.
Required keys
- API Key
- Email — the email of the Precoro user the API Key belongs to
- Precoro Region
How to Generate the Required Values
Step 1: Generate an API key
- Sign in to Precoro as a user with the broadest access.
- Go to the API Access Keys page.
- Click Generate API Key.
- Copy the key and save it somewhere safe.
Important
The API key is shown only once, at the moment you generate it. You will not be able to view it again in Precoro.
Step 2: Identify your Precoro region
Select United States if your Precoro URL is app.precoro.us, otherwise select International. To check, look at the address bar when you are signed in to Precoro:
| Your Precoro URL | Region to select in Torii |
|---|---|
| app.precoro.com | International (app.precoro.com) |
| app.precoro.us | United States (app.precoro.us) |
How to Connect the Integration
- Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
- Search for Precoro and click Connect.
- Enter the Account Name, API Key and Email, and select your Precoro Region.
- Click Connect.
Q&A
Q: What should I enter in the "Account Name" field?
A: The Account Name field lets you connect multiple Precoro accounts to Torii. The value can be anything you choose — it is only used to distinguish between your connected accounts. Make sure to use a unique Account Name for each account: connecting a different account with an Account Name that is already in use will overwrite the existing account's data, so choosing distinct names is your responsibility.
Q: Why does the API key need a user with broad access?
A: Precoro restricts what each user can see by Location, Department and Project, and an API key carries those same restrictions. If the key is created by a user with limited access, Torii will sync only the users and spend that user can see, without reporting an error.
Q: Why don't I see all of my Precoro invoices in Torii?
A: Torii syncs a document once it is marked as Paid in Precoro. An invoice that is still awaiting approval, or approved but not yet paid, will appear after it is paid. Denied and cancelled documents are never synced, so they do not count towards your spend.
Q: I have several companies in Precoro. How do I connect them all?
A: Generate a separate API key for each company, switching company in your Precoro account settings between each. Then connect each one to Torii separately, giving each a different Account Name.
