Q&A
Q: When deactivating a user in Zoom that has multiple license types (i.e. Zoom phone pro, basic, etc.), will Torii deactivate ALL of the licenses?
A: Yes, it changes the user type to Basic and sets the status as inactive.
Q: I want to approve Torii only for the integration user. How can I accomplish this?
A: To approve Torii only for specific users, you will want to pre-approve Torii in the Zoom marketplace. Please follow the steps outlined in this help article or contact Zoom support for additional information.
Q: I am seeing a "Licensed" Zoom meeting license instead of my specific plan type(s). Why doesn't Torii provide more detailed information?
A: Torii provides a detailed breakdown of your Zoom licenses, including a detailed license breakdown of Zoom Meetings licenses. If you are not seeing this, this is because the Zoom user you connected the integration with does not have access to your billing plans information. Please make sure you are connecting Zoom with a master account. If you cannot, please verify the following:
-
Ensure billing access: In the User Management section of Zoom's web portal, ensure the user account making the API request has the necessary permissions to access billing data. Admin roles with billing permissions should have full access to retrieve plan usage details.
-
Ensure account management: Check the Account Management section in Zoom's web portal to confirm that the billing settings and plan usage data are enabled and accessible for the account you're querying. If billing is managed by a different entity or through a sub-account, you might need to reconnect with another user.
-
Ensure correct sub-account: If you are part of an organization that utilizes sub-accounts, make sure you are connecting the integration with a user in the correct sub-account.
-
API Dashboard in Zoom: You can use the API Dashboard in the Zoom App Marketplace to monitor the API usage and see whether the requests from Torii to Zoom are being properly processed. This can help identify if there are failed API calls or issues with rate limits. You can access this in the Zoom UI by going to the Manage section under the Admin App Management tab (Zoom).
