Set up your self hosted WordPress integration and get all the insights in Torii's dashboard

Torii integrates with your Self Hosted WordPress.org installation and syncs the list of users and their roles.

For the integration, you will need to provide your WordPress URL, username and Application Password.

To generate an Application Password:

  1. Login to your WordPress admin dashboard

  2. If you are on WordPress core version 5.6 or above, skip to step 5
  3. [Only required for WordPress versions before 5.6] Go to PluginsAdd New

  4. [Only required for WordPress versions before 5.6] Search and install the Application Passwords plugin

  5. Click Users in your WordPress dashboard

  6. Click on the user that you want to make an application password for, this user should be an Admin.

  7. Scroll down until you see the Application Passwords section.

  8. Within the input field, type "Torii" to set the name of the application password, then click Add New and your new application password will appear.

  9. Copy the Application Password as it will only be shown once.

Connect WordPress.org from the Integrations page.

Q&A

  • Q: Which Wordpress sites are supported with this integration?
A: Torii supports any self-hosted installation of WordPress, including sites hosted on WP Engine and other popular WordPress hosting providers.

          Additional info:

    • Sites hosted on WordPress.com are supported using the dedicated WordPress.com integration.
    • Sites hosted on WP Engine are supported. We recommend to connect the WP Engine Integration in addition to the individual WordPress websites hosted within WP Engine.
