Set up your DocuSign integration and get all the insights in Torii's dashboard

Overview

Torii integrates with your DocuSign account and syncs the following attributes:

  1. List of users and their roles

  2. Licenses (assigned only)

  3. Usage - Available for enterprise plan

Torii DocuSign integration uses OAuth 2.0

Integration Steps

Prerequisites Required in DocuSign

  1. Step 1 - Create Permissions Profile

    1. Standard plan

    2. Enterprise or corporate plan (Advanced solutions)

  2. Step 2 - Connect Permissions Profile to a User Profile

  3. Step 3 - Get the User Profile email for Torii integration

Step 1 - Prerequisites - Standard plan

  • You are required to have an admin user

  1. From DocuSign Settings go to Permission Profile

  2. Create a permission profile, click ADD PERMISSION PROFILE

  3. Name the Permission Profile

  4. Select All Administration Capabilities

  5. Click ADD

  6. Torii Permissions Profile is created

Continue to Step 2 - Connect Permissions Profile to a User Profile

Step 1 - Prerequisites - Enterprise or corporate plan (Advanced solutions)

  • You are required to have an admin user

  1. From DocuSign Settings go to Permission Profile

  2. Create a permission profile, click ADD PERMISSION PROFILE

  3. To provide full permissions, select Allow All under ADMIN PERMISSIONS

  4. To provide minimum "read" permissions, select Allow Some

  5. Check Users and Groups
    Note: For offboarding workflows, change Level of Access to Edit Users & Groups

  6. Check Envelope Transfer

  7. Under USER PERMISSIONS, select Allow View and manage envelope rights through API

  8. Click ADD

  9. Torii Permission Profile is created

Step 2 - Connect Permissions Profile to a User Profile

  1. Go to the Users tab

  2. Select the user you want to connect to Torii

  3. Under User Profile, go to Permission Profile and select the profile you created

  4. Step 3 - Copy the user profile email

  5. Click Save

Connect DocuSign integration to Torii

  1. Go to the Integrations page and select the DocuSign tile

  2. Connect to DocuSign

  3. In Connect DocuSign, select the permission type (Read or Read and Take action)

  4. [optional] If your user is part of multiple DocuSign accounts, enter the API Account ID to select the desired account. Leave this field empty to use your default account.

  5. [optional] You may choose to sync all DocuSign accounts associated with your user by setting Sync all accounts = Yes.

    Important: You cannot provide both a specific API Account ID and enable Sync all accounts. If you choose to sync all accounts, leave the API Account ID field empty.

  6. [optional] To use the Transfer DocuSign user Envelopes action, fill in the Email Address and App Password.

  7. Click Connect

  8. Paste the User Profile email on the DocuSign login page

  9. Click Next

  10. Once connected and synced, a green checkbox will appear

About Usage data

Torii monitors DocuSign usage daily.

A user is considered active if they performed at least one of the following:

  • Sent one or more envelopes

  • Created one or more templates

Use usage data to right-size your DocuSign licenses and eliminate unused seats.

Actions

Available actions:

  • Create DocuSign user
  • Close DocuSign User
  • Transfer DocuSign user envelopes 
    Note: Only envelopes in Completed status can be transferred.

Note: Since November 25th 2021, DocuSign provides 360 days of historical usage data on first connection.
