Set up your DocuSign integration and get all the insights in Torii's dashboard

Overview

Torii integrates with your DocuSign account and syncs the following attributes:

  1. List of users and their roles

  2. Licenses (assigned only)

  3. Usage - Available for enterprise plan

Torii DocuSign integration uses OAuth 2.0

Integration Steps

Prerequisites Required in DocuSign

  1. Step 1 - Create Permissions Profile

    1. Standard plan

    2. Enterprise or corporate plan (Advanced solutions)

  2. Step 2 - Connect Permissions Profile to a User Profile

  3. Step 3 - Get the User Profile email for Torii integration

Step 1 - Prerequisites - Standard plan

  • You are required to have an admin user

  1. From From DocuSign Settings page go to Permission Profile

  2. Create a permission profile, click on ADD PERMISSION PROFILE

  3. Name the Permission Profile

  4. Select the All Administration Capabilities checkbox

  5. Click ADD

  6. Torii Permissions Profile is created

Continue to Step 2 - Connect Permissions Profile to a User Profile

Step 1 - Prerequisites - Enterprise or corporate plan (Advanced solutions)

  • You are required to have an admin user

  1. From DocuSign, Settings page go to Permission Profile

  2. Create a permission profile, click on ADD PERMISSION PROFILE

  3. If you want to provide Torii full permissions, under ADMIN PERMISSIONS, select Allow All

  4. If you want to provide Torii minimum "read" permissions, select Allow Some
    This will open additional options:

  5. Check the Users and Groups box
    Note, If you intend to use Docusign offboarding workflow, the Level of Access needs to be changed to Edit Users & Groups

  6. Check the Envelope Transfer box

  7. Under USER PERMISSIONS tab, select Allow View and manage envelope rights through API

  8. Click ADD

  9. Torii Permission Profile is created

Step 2 - Connect Permissions Profile to a User Profile

  1. Go to the Users tab

  2. Select the user you want to connect to Torii

  3. In User Profile, go to Permission Profile and select the Permission Profile you created in Step 1

  4. Step 3- Copy the user profile email - you will need it when connecting Torii to DocuSign

  5. Click Save

Connect DocuSign integration to Torii

  1. Go to the Integrations page and select the DocuSign tile

  2. Connect to DocuSign

  3. In Connect DocuSign select the permission type (Read or Read and Take action)

  4. If you wish to use the Transfer DocuSign user Evevelopes action, fill in the Email Address and the App Password fields. 
    You can find them in your Docusign account, under your user profile (a) >> copy the email (b) >> Manage Profile (c) >> Privacy & Security >> Generate App Password (e) and copy it

  5. Click Connect

  6. You will be redirected to connect to Torii
    On the Log In page, paste the User Profile email

  7. Click Next

  8. Once the integration is connected and synced, a green checkbox will display

About Usage data

Torii monitors DocuSign usage data on a daily basis.

If DocuSign users completes at least one of the following actions on a given day, they will be considered an active user:

  • Sent one or more envelopes.

  • Created one or more templates

Leverage usage data to right-size DocuSign licenses and save costs. Monitor inactive licenses and deprovision them on time.

Actions

You can perform the following actions with DocuSign integration.

  • Create DocuSign user
  • Close DocuSign User
  • Transfer DocuSign user envelopes - note that the envelopes must be in status - Completed
    Torii will mark the action as successful only if all envelopes were successfully transferred.

Note: Starting November 25th, 2021, the period in which DocuSign retrieves usage for the first time is 360 days.
