Overview
Torii integrates with Retool and syncs:
- Users (status, role, last visit time)
- Licenses (Builder, Standard User, External User)
- Retool group membership
- Multi-account is supported — you can connect multiple Retool instances.
- You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.
Requirements
To connect this integration, we require the following:
Accounts & Permissions
- A Retool Enterprise plan.
- Organization admin access to create an API access token.
Required keys
- API Access Token — with the users:read, organization:read, and groups:read scopes. To enable workflow actions (user provisioning, deprovisioning, and group management), also add the users:write and groups:write scopes.
-
Instance Host (Optional) — only for self-hosted Retool (e.g.
retool.yourcompany.com). Leave blank for Retool Cloud.
How to Generate the Required Values
Step 1: Generate an API access token
- In Retool, go to Settings → Retool API.
- Click Create new.
- Enter a name (and optional description).
- Select the scopes: users:read, organization:read, groups:read. To enable workflow actions, also select users:write and groups:write.
- Click Create and copy the token.
Important
The API access token is shown only once at creation — copy and store it immediately.
Step 2: Find your instance host (Required for self-hosted)
- Your instance host is the domain you use to access Retool (e.g.
retool.yourcompany.com).
How to Connect the Integration
- Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
- Search for Retool and click Connect.
- Enter your API Access Token. For self-hosted Retool, also enter your Instance Host (Cloud users leave it blank).
- Click Connect.
