Overview
We’re introducing an enhanced version of the Application Catalog, currently available in Labs.
This new experience builds on the existing Application Catalog by adding new capabilities designed to improve how you discover, evaluate, and manage applications in Torii.
As part of Labs, it is not yet available to all customers and may continue to evolve based on feedback.
What is the App Access Catalog (Labs)?
The App Access Catalog (Labs) is a version of the Application Catalog that introduces new functionality and improvements to the existing experience.
It is designed to help you:
Control access requests across your organization
Define who can request access to specific applications
Establish clear approval flows per application
Automatically notify requesters, improving transparency and communication
Gain visibility into current and past access requests
Leverage reporting and dashboard insights for better tracking and decision-making
How is this different from the current Application Catalog?
The Labs experience enhances the existing Application Catalog—it does not replace it.
Key differences include:
- New capabilities:
- Access control configuration: Define groups and control who is eligible to request access
- Reusable approval workflows: Standardize approval processes across applications
- Automated notifications: Keep requesters informed throughout the process
- Access request visibility: Track and review requests more effectively
You can continue using the existing Application Catalog as usual.
How to access the Labs experience
If your account has access:
- Navigate to Settings
- Click on "labs"
- Enable "App Access Catalog" toggle
