Requirements
Accounts & Permissions
- To connect this integration, we require the following:
- Domain
- API Key (can be fetched by a super admin or any user with an admin role)
How to Generate the Required Values
- Log in to your Hexnode MDM portal.

Finding the Domain:
You can locate the Domain in your Hexnode URL. For example:https://<DOMAIN>.hexnodemdm.com
In this case, the Domain is<DOMAIN>. -
Finding the API Key:
- Go to the Admin tab.
- Select API.
- Copy the value under Your API Key.
- Note: Only a super admin or admin role user can access the API key.
- Go to the Admin tab.
How to Connect the Integration
- Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
- Select the Hexnode tile.

Click Connect.

Enter the required values:
- Domain
- API Key
- Click Connect to finalize the integration.
- Once the integration is connected and synced, a green checkbox will appear next to the integration.
Actions
Torii supports multiple actions for the Hexnode integration. One of the supported actions is:
Clear activation lock from Hexnode UEM user's devices
This action clears the Activation Lock from supported Apple devices managed by Hexnode. Activation Lock is an Apple security feature that prevents a device from being reactivated after a reset without the Apple ID credentials that were last associated with the device.
When this action is executed, Torii instructs Hexnode to remove the Activation Lock, allowing the device to be reactivated without requiring the original Apple ID credentials.
Limitations and requirements:
- The action is supported only on supervised iOS devices running iOS 7.1 or later.
- For macOS devices, support is limited to:
- macOS 10.15 or later devices with Apple silicon, or
- macOS 10.15 or later devices with the T2 security chip that were enrolled via Apple Business Manager (ABM) or Apple School Manager (ASM).
- Devices that do not meet these requirements will not be able to clear the Activation Lock using this action.
Important Notes
- Only Users are synced via the integration.
Technicians, who are admin users of the Hexnode portal, are not synced.
