Overview

Torii integrates with Workato using an API Token and your selected Data Center, and syncs:

  • Torii supports syncing multiple Workato accounts.
  • For the latest field and capability info, see the Integration Capabilities page in Torii.

Prerequisites

Before integrating Workato, make sure that:

  • You are a Workato workspace admin with permission to create Client Roles and API clients.
  • You know which Workato Data Center your workspace runs in. The data center is identified by the URL you use to sign in to Workato:
    • UShttps://www.workato.com or https://app.workato.com
    • EUhttps://app.eu.workato.com
    • JPhttps://app.jp.workato.com
    • SGhttps://app.sg.workato.com
    • AUhttps://app.au.workato.com
    • ILhttps://app.il.workato.com
    • Developer Sandboxhttps://app.trial.workato.com

Authentication

Torii authenticates to Workato using a Workato API Token issued to an API client. The API client is granted a Client Role that controls which workspace data Torii can read.

When connecting, Torii asks for two values:

  • Data Center — selected from a dropdown (US, EU, JP, SG, AU, IL, or Developer Sandbox).
  • API Token — generated in Workato (see the next section).

Generate the API token in Workato

  1. Sign in to Workato as a workspace admin, using the URL of your data center (see the list under Prerequisites).
  2. Create a Client Role — this controls what the API client (and Torii) can access.
Open Account settings > API clients > Client roles and create a new role with the following permission groups enabled:
    • Workspace details

      Workspace details permission
    • Workspace collaborators

      Workspace collaborators permission
  3. Create an API client and copy the API Token
Still under Account settings > API clients, create a new API client:
    • Assign the Client Role you just created.
    • Grant access to all projects.
    • Copy the generated API Token immediately and store it securely — Workato only shows the token value once.

Connect Workato to Torii

  1. Go to Torii's Integrations page and click the Workato tile.
  2. Click Connect.
  3. In the Data Center dropdown, select the data center that matches your Workato URL.
  4. In the API Token field, paste the token you generated in Workato.
  5. Click Connect to finalize the integration.
  6. Once the integration is connected and synced, a green checkbox will appear next to the integration. Repeat for every Workato account you wish to connect.
