Overview

Torii integrates with Planhat and syncs:

  • Users and licenses from your Planhat account.
  • Torii can also create and delete Planhat users from workflows — see Supported actions.
  • You can constantly stay updated with application information from our Integrations Page >> Integration Capabilities button >> Integration Capabilities table.

Requirements

To connect this integration, we require the following:

Accounts & Permissions

  • A Planhat account with access to the App Center global tool.
  • The ServiceAccount data-model permission, which is what makes the "Private apps" option visible.
  • The Private App you create must have the View permission on the User data model (Planhat's model for your own team members, as opposed to End User). This is what the sync reads.
  • To also use Torii's create user and delete user actions, the Private App additionally needs Create and Remove on the User model. Sync-only connections do not need these.

Required keys

  • API Access Token - generated from a Planhat Private App.

How to Generate the Required Values

Step 1: Create a Private App

  1. In Planhat, open the App Center global tool.
  2. Click + New app.
  3. In the New App (Apps Library) modal, click + Private app in the top-left corner.
  4. Enter a Name for the app (for example, Torii).
  5. Under Copy Permissions From, select a Private App or Role with View on the User model (plus Create and Remove for actions).
  6. Click Create.

Step 2: Generate an API Access Token

  1. In the Private App modal, open the Info tab.
  2. Click Generate new token.
  3. Set an expiry date. We recommend selecting the maximum of 365 days, so the integration runs for as long as possible before the token needs replacing. When the token expires, the integration stops syncing until you generate a new one and reconnect.
  4. Copy the token.

Important
The API Token is displayed only once. Copy it and store it securely - if you lose it, you will need to generate a new one.

How to Connect the Integration

  1. Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
  2. Search for Planhat and click Connect.
  3. Enter the Account Name and the API Access Token.
  4. Click Connect.

Supported Actions

Torii can run these Planhat actions from a workflow. They act on Planhat Users (your own team members), not End Users.

  • Create user — adds a user to Planhat.
  • Delete user — removes a user from Planhat.

Q&A

Q: What should I enter in the "Account Name" field?

A: The Account Name field lets you connect multiple Planhat accounts to Torii. The value can be anything you choose — it is only used to distinguish between your connected accounts. Make sure to use a unique Account Name for each account: connecting a different account with an Account Name that is already in use will overwrite the existing account's data, so choosing distinct names is your responsibility.

Q: I can't see the "Private apps" option in the App Center.

A: Viewing and managing Private Apps requires the ServiceAccount data-model permission. Ask a Planhat administrator to enable it for your role.
