Overview

Torii integrates with HiBob and syncs users and license data from your HiBob account.

  • Multiple HiBob accounts are supported; you can connect more than one.

Requirements

Accounts & Permissions

  • A HiBob organization account.
  • Permission in HiBob to approve app access (e.g. administrator or equivalent) so you can grant Torii the required permissions when redirected to HiBob.

How to Connect the Integration

  1. Go to the Integrations page in Torii.
  2. Search for HiBob and click Connect.
  3. You will be redirected to HiBob to sign in and approve access. You must grant Torii access to:

    View employee data > people >

    • View selected employees' Basic info sections
    • View selected employees' Lifecycle sections
    • View selected employees' Employment sections
    • View selected employees' Work sections

    View employee historical data > people >

    • View selected employees' Lifecycle section histories
    • View selected employees' Employment section histories
  4. After approval, you'll be redirected back to Torii.
  5. Once the integration is connected and synced, a green checkbox will appear next to the integration.

Important Notes

Important
HiBob has moved to OAuth 2.0 for new connections. Existing connections using the legacy Service User + Access Token method continue to work without change.

Q&A

Q: What happens if I don't grant all the listed permissions in HiBob?

A: Torii needs the permissions listed in the connection steps to sync users and lifecycle data. If any are missing, sync may fail or the connection may be disabled. Reconnect and grant all required permissions.

Q: Can I still use my existing HiBob connection that was set up with a token?

A: Yes. Existing connections that use the legacy Service User + Access Token method continue to work. New connections use the OAuth flow described above.

Q: I received the following error when trying to connect the integration: {"success":false,"errorMessage":"hibob.marketplace.error.bad.request.app.already.installed"}. What should I do?

A: This error indicates that the Torii application is already installed in your HiBob Marketplace. To resolve the issue, uninstall the existing Torii app and then reconnect the integration from Torii.

To uninstall the existing app:

  1. Go to the HiBob Marketplace.
  2. Open the Torii application page.
  3. Click Uninstall.
