The "Stop Workflow" feature allows users to abort workflow executions that are currently "In Progress." This functionality ensures that no further actions are executed beyond the current step, providing users with better control over their workflow and app catalog policy executions.

How to Stop a Workflow

You can stop workflows manually from the following locations:

  1. Workflow / Policy Runs Page: Identify the workflow to stop and click the "Stop Workflow" icon.

Post-Confirmation

When you confirm stopping the workflow:

  • The workflow status updates to Stopped.

  • The workflow details will show who stopped the workflow and when.

Long-Running Actions

For actions that cannot be interrupted (e.g., transferring Google Drive files), the workflow status changes to "Stopping" until the current action completes. Once completed, the workflow status updates to "Stopped".

Offboarding Workflows

Offboarding workflows cannot be stopped.

Deleted Workflows

If a running workflow is deleted:

  • Its status changes to Stopped"

  • The action that was "In Progress" at the time of deletion also updates to Stopped.
