What is Data Accuracy Drift Protection?

Data Accuracy Drift Protection is a feature designed to protect organizations from unintended sync consequences due to a significant reduction in user count during daily integration syncs. When Torii detects an anomaly in user numbers for IdP/HRMS integrations, it automatically pauses the sync and notifies administrators, allowing them to independently review and decide on the next steps.

How It Works

During a daily sync, if Torii detects that an IdP or HRMS integration has experienced an anomaly in user numbers compared to the previous sync, it places the integration in a failed state.

Step 1 Step 2

The following error message appears on the integration card (click on See more details):

At this point, customers can click the Sync button to manually resume the sync. A confirmation dialog appears, providing additional context about the detected anomaly and next steps.

Alternatively, users with Admin role in your account will receive an email titled "Integration paused due to user count drop". From that email, they can choose to approve the change directly or contact Torii support if assistance is needed.

Managing Paused Integrations

Once notified, administrators have two options:

  • If this change in users is expected: You can proceed with the integration sync. Please note that once these changes go live, they cannot be reverted.

  • If this change in users seems incorrect: Submit a support request to the Torii support team for assistance.

The integration will remain paused until approved. All actions are tracked in the audit log to ensure transparency and accountability.

FAQ

Q: What integrations does this apply to?

A: It applies to identity providers (IdP) and human resource management systems (HRMS) integrations only.

Q: Who gets notified when a sync is paused?

A: All users with Admin role in your account receive an email with the relevant information.

Q: Will I lose data if I don't resume the sync?

A: No data is lost. The sync is simply paused until the administrator decides to resume. However, while paused, no updates will be made from that integration.
